200,000 Hitler Videos Given to “Ignorant” Students
Submitted by Shawn Holes, Boise, Idaho

When Jewish best-selling author and TV producer, Ray Comfort, took a camera to the streets to get university students’ views on Adolf Hitler, he was shocked to find that many didn’t know who he was. “I came back to our studios with 14 interviews with people who thought that he was a communist, or an actor, or they had never even heard of his name.”

In an effort to fill in where he believes that the American educational system is failing, Comfort and a team of more than 1,000 helpers gave out 200,000 copies of his award-winning movie “180” on DVD. These were freely handed to students at 100 top universities throughout the United States and Boise State University (October 25) was one of those select campuses.

Shawn Holes is a traveling evangelist with the ministry of Luketentwo.com and resides in the Treasure Valley and spearheaded the BSU outreach. Holes said, “22 individuals from 10 different churches in the Boise, Idaho area took valuable time out of their lives to lovingly share this amazing video with the young people at BSU.” Additionally Mr. Holes said, “This 180 movie is a great way to teach students about the past to address some real issues of the present”.

Producer Ray Comfort also made the 33-minute movie freely available on the Internet. The site 180movie.com received over one million Youtube views in the first 22 days after its release, and is being called “The hottest movie on the Internet.”

Comfort added, “180 is a rollercoaster-ride of emotions, because you watch people squirm as they are put into a moral dilemma by asking if they would bury Jews alive (something that happened in the 2nd World War), at the point of a Nazi gun. It’s a character-test as to how much people value human life. To be ignorant of perhaps the darkest part of human history will inevitably result in the devaluing of life, and a repetition of the Holocaust.”

Comfort believes that that movie went viral because “It does an unexpected 180 on the viewer…and I’m not going to let on what that twist is because it will take away from the power of its message. We gave away 200,000 copies because I want to educate young people about who Hitler was and what he did. They must also know why it was that the German people were able to tolerate the horror of concentration camps in their own back yard. I don’t want them to fall into the same trap.”
